Napoli has officially declared that Victor Osimhen will not be rejoining their first-team squad, following the collapse of transfer negotiations with interested clubs.

Mauro Manna, Napoli’s director, disclosed that Osimhen had decided against playing for the club starting last year. "Osimhen decided not to play for our club anymore last year," Manna stated. "We tried to assist in finding a solution, but the deal didn’t materialize. Both parties are aligned on moving forward separately.

"

Manager Antonio Conte supported this stance, making it clear that there will be no attempt to reintegrate Osimhen. "No player will be reintegrated," Conte emphasized. "Those who are out of the project will remain out. We made our choices and are moving forward together."

>Osimhen, who was anticipated to transfer on Deadline Day, saw his proposed moves to Chelsea and Al Ahli fall through. Chelsea's representatives were reportedly in Naples until the final moments of the transfer window, but the deal failed to close. Concurrently, Al Ahli chose to acquire Ivan Toney from Brentford, despite initially agreeing to terms for Osimhen.

With the transfer window now closed, Osimhen remains with Napoli, though his future with the club looks uncertain. His profile has been removed from Napoli’s official website, and his shirt number has been reassigned to new signing Romelu Lukaku.
