Kylian Mbappe finally ended his scoring drought in La Liga, netting twice in Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Real Betis on Sunday. The French forward had faced mounting pressure after failing to score in his first three league appearances since his summer move to the Spanish giants.

"It was a great moment," Mbappe said post-match. "I had been hoping to score in this legendary stadium, which I consider the best in the world." The two goals against Betis not only secured a crucial victory for Real Madrid but also eased the criticism that had been building over his slow start.

Mbappe acknowledged the support he has received from both the club and its fans during this challenging period. "For some players, three games without a goal might not seem like much, but for me, it felt like a lot. Still, the support from the club and the fans has been incredible," he commented.

In the game, Mbappe showcased his growing partnership with Brazilian star Vinicius Junior. The latter played a key role in Mbappe's second goal by providing the assist for a penalty. Addressing speculation about their on-field chemistry, Mbappe said, "We are young and famous, it's normal for people to talk about us. The coach says that we both take penalties. I don't want to force things, that's not my mentality."

Mbappe also addressed comparisons to former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite admiration for Ronaldo, Mbappe emphasized his desire to carve out his own path. "I don't feel the pressure. I don't think about Cristiano, with all due respect to him. Cristiano is my idol, yes. But no, I don't want to follow anything. I don't want that pressure. I want to be Kylian."

With his first La Liga goals now under his belt, Mbappe will look to build on this performance as Real Madrid continues their campaign in Spain's top flight.
