Drake's latest EP, *100 Gigs*, has encountered legal trouble, resulting in the removal of the track "Blue Green Red" from streaming platforms. The issue centers around an unapproved sample from dancehall artist Tiger's 1991 hit "When," originally produced by Cleveland “Clevie” Browne. Get our app for free

Clevie, part of the renowned duo Steely & Clevie, voiced concerns to DancehallMag about the lack of proper clearance for the sample. According to Clevie, the publishers SONY/EMI requested clearance but failed to provide the track for review, leading to unauthorized use. “They used the melody just in a section, and it was repeated twice. So this is a clear infringement,” Clevie stated.

As a result of these clearance issues, "Blue Green Red" has been removed from streaming services, with "Circadian Rhythm" replacing it on the EP.

This dispute adds to Drake's ongoing legal troubles, including a separate copyright battle with Clevie over allegations that Drizzy’s hit "One Dance" borrowed elements from Clevie’s 1989 song "Fish Market." Additionally, Drake's collaboration with Benny The Butcher, "Buffalo Freestyle," was recently pulled from streaming platforms without explanation.

Drake has also been in the spotlight for a preview of an unreleased collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, amid ongoing tensions between the two artists.
