" I’ve already been on so many songs that it’s hard for me to remember all of them," Brown said. "I only know about 10 of my songs right now because I don’t even listen to my own music."
Brown further explained that this lapse in memory extends to his earlier work as well. "I don’t remember every song that I’ve been on. Like right now, I don’t even know any song from my first album again. I don’t even listen to my own music, so a while after I release my songs, I sometimes forget them. "
The singer revealed that this occasional forgetfulness can be surprising during performances. "There are times that when my own songs are played, I'll be like 'Ooh, did I really sing that?' So when I’m performing and a throwback song which I don’t remember is played, I just put the microphone up and let my fans sing it."
