Big Sean has addressed recent speculation that he dissed Lil Yachty on his new album, *Better Me Than You*. The rumor stemmed from a line in the Pressure Edition bonus track "Wire Me," where Sean rapped, “I mean, I might have to even throw ’em a lil’ boat — pff / I’m seein’ n-ggas gettin’ drowned out ’cause they can’t switch up the flow / Just give ’em a year or two, and they gettin’ exposed.”

In a recent interview with Complex, Sean clarified that the lyrics were not directed at Lil Yachty, who features on the album. “I wasn’t talking about [Lil Yachty],” Sean said. “Yachty is on the album as well. On ‘Yes’ he’s doing adlibs with me. No, I’m not taking a jab at Yachty. It was like a whole double entendre. [If I was referencing him] that would have been a whole other entendre.”

Sean also noted that Yachty was present during the recording sessions and has a verse on the track “Yes,” which might be released in the future.

*Better Me Than You* dropped on August 30, 2024, featuring collaborations with artists like Gunna, Kodak Black, Bryson Tiller, and more. The album also includes a notable cameo from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who delivers a congratulatory message on the track “Break the Cycle.”
