In a recent appearance on the *Million Dollaz Worth of Game* podcast, 50 Cent revisited an old memory involving Dame Dash's reaction to his $1 million record deal with Eminem and Dr. Dre. According to 50 Cent, Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, downplayed the significance of the deal, which he received from Interscope/Aftermath/Shady in 2002.

50 Cent recounted, “The only person that pointed out that a million dollars was no money was Damon Dash, and he has no money now.” He mimicked Dash’s reaction: “That ain’t no money. After you get a watch, a chain, you look out for the homies and you do this, that and the third… it’s nothing.”

The rapper contrasted Dash’s perspective with his own excitement, saying, “I’m from 134th Street. A million dollars is a lot of money. I’m thinking I hit the lotto! How you gonna say it’s no money?”

Dash’s financial situation has notably deteriorated in recent years. His stake in Roc-A-Fella Records is set for auction to cover nearly $1 million in legal judgments and other debts. The auction, initially planned for an opening bid of $1.2 million, may see an increase to address his broader financial obligations, including around $10 million in total debts and unpaid taxes.

In light of his past, 50 Cent reminisced about the early days of his career, including how he used his record deal money to buy his grandmother a car, reflecting on the impact of the deal on his life and family.

As Dame Dash faces significant financial and legal troubles, 50 Cent's story serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of success in the entertainment industry.
