Travis Scott is challenging his Miami trespassing charge, requesting a Florida judge to dismiss the case on grounds of legal technicalities. On August 20, Scott's attorney, Bradford Cohen, filed a motion arguing that the rapper's arrest should be invalidated due to the absence of "no trespassing" signs at the marina where the incident occurred.

The motion claims that Scott was actually arrested at a private parking lot, not at the Miami Beach Marina, where he was initially reported to have caused a disturbance. The incident, which took place early on June 20, involved the rapper being handcuffed after allegedly becoming disorderly and intoxicated on a charter boat.

According to police reports, Scott engaged in a heated argument with the boat's occupants and appeared visibly drunk. Despite initially complying with the officers' requests to leave the marina, Scott reportedly returned shortly afterward and exhibited erratic behavior, leading to his arrest.

Scott was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after being warned. He was subsequently released on a $650 bond. Recent bodycam footage from the arrest shows Scott arguing with officers and expressing fear of them while criticizing their response to the situation.

While the disorderly intoxication charge has been dropped, the misdemeanor trespassing charge remains. Scott is scheduled to face trial on September 10.
