Knowles, who married Lawson in 2015, filed for divorce in July 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. She also sought to terminate Lawson's claim to spousal support and to revert her legal name to Celestine Knowles from Celestine Lawson.

While Knowles wraps up her personal affairs, her daughter Beyoncé continues to make waves in the music industry. Beyoncé’s recent project, "Cowboy Carter," debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and featured 23 of its 27 tracks on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her as the 17th artist—and the third woman—to achieve over 100 entries on the chart.

Beyoncé is also garnering attention through Apple Music's 'Nashville Sessions' series, where a collection of notable Black country artists, including Brittney Spencer and Joy Oladokun, cover her hits.
