Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warmly welcomed by Invictus Games athletes during their recent visit to Colombia. On August 16, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a special stop at Bogota’s Centro de Rehabilitación Inclusiva as part of their whirlwind tour.

The couple attended a training session for athletes preparing for the Invictus Games, a prestigious event for wounded, injured, or sick veterans. The visit was marked by heartfelt exchanges, with local artists presenting Meghan Markle with a hand-knitted painting, animals, and matching beaded jewelry. Meanwhile, Prince Harry received a commemorative plaque from the Ministry of National Defense Veterans in recognition of his unwavering support for the Invictus Games, an event he has patronized since its inception in 2014.

>During their visit, the Sussexes toured the facility, which includes a swimming pool, rock climbing wall, and rehabilitation space. They engaged with athletes, including Korean War veterans, discussing their training routines and recovery methods. At one point, Prince Harry joined a volleyball game, with Meghan cheering from the sidelines.

The visit follows a warm reception from Vice President Francia Márquez and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillo at the vice president's residence on August 15. The Sussexes enjoyed traditional Colombian treats and exchanged gifts with their hosts. Márquez expressed her appreciation for the couple’s dedication to digital safety and mental health advocacy, noting shared goals and values.

This touching interaction highlights the Sussexes’ ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and promoting global health initiatives.
