Hip-Hop fans are buzzing with confusion following some intriguing social media activity involving Lil Yachty and Drake. On August 20th, eagle-eyed followers noticed that Lil Yachty, affectionately known as "Lil Boat," had unfollowed his close friend and frequent collaborator Drake on Instagram, igniting rumors of a fallout between the duo.

The curious unfollow was quickly rectified when Lil Yachty re-followed Drake soon after, further fueling the speculation. Drake surfaced as the most recent person Lil Yachty followed on the platform, suggesting that the action was a genuine unfollow rather than a glitch.

This Instagram drama occurred shortly after reports emerged about Drake’s plans to release their leaked song “Super Soak” as a solo track. Renowned for its controversy, “Super Soak” has been a hot topic since Twitch streamer Kai Cenat premiered it last month. Interestingly, industry insider Akademiks shared insights during his Rumble livestream, hinting that "Super Soak" would debut with a music video—sans Lil Yachty. Akademiks noted, “That’s a little confusing to me [...] because it was Yachty’s song initially. Drake sent that to Yachty for it to be on Yachty’s Concrete [Boys] project."

Fans are left pondering whether Lil Yachty's Instagram antics are a response to being left off the new single. Following the leaks, “Super Soak” even sparked friction with Soulja Boy, causing the rapper to confront Drake over perceived disses.

Despite the tumultuous chain of events, recent interactions suggest that any misunderstandings were quickly ironed out. Soulja Boy himself confirmed that he and Drake had clarified the issues stemmed from misinterpretations.
