In addition to topping the charts, *Sugar Honey Iced Tea* has drawn attention for its lyrical content. Fans and critics have noted that the album includes lines that seem to target her ongoing feud with Ice Spice. The track “S/O to Me” features verses that some interpret as direct jabs at the Bronx rapper. Latto raps, “Bye sis, funny thing about it, you can’t look me in my eye, sis,” and later adds, “Ice is just water when it melts.”
Despite the apparent diss, Latto has previously indicated she has no intention of engaging in a full-scale feud with Ice Spice. In a conversation with Billboard, Latto explained her perspective on rap battles and feuds, stating, “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’m gonna go tit for tat with.” She clarified that she views their music as distinct and doesn’t see a need for direct confrontation.
