Kehlani’s ongoing custody battle has taken a dramatic turn. On August 13, the singer filed a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Javaughn Young-White, in Los Angeles County Superior Court. This order prohibits Young-White from contacting Kehlani or their daughter, Adeya, and mandates that he maintain a 100-yard distance from their home.

This legal move comes just two weeks after Kehlani sought full custody of Adeya. TMZ reports that Kehlani will retain full custody while the restraining order is in effect. Commissioner Jeffrey W. Korn expedited the order due to Young-White’s history of abuse and lack of cooperation in co-parenting. Korn also expressed concerns about potential child abduction during the custody proceedings. Kehlani described Young-White as emotionally unstable, citing his erratic behavior and outbursts.

In response to Young-White’s earlier accusations that Kehlani was involved in a cult, the singer took to social media to deny these claims. She emphasized her commitment to her daughter’s safety and well-being, refuting any allegations of endangerment or neglect.

Both Kehlani and Young-White are seeking sole custody of Adeya. The hearing for the restraining order is scheduled for September 3.
