Kanye West is facing criticism from an unexpected quarter following the release of his new track “Lifestyle” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Wayne. Ed Kelce, father of NFL star Travis Kelce, publicly criticized West on Facebook for lyrics in Lil Wayne’s verse that seemingly reference Taylor Swift, Kelce’s girlfriend.

In the song, Lil Wayne raps, “Ice up in my veins, old flames tryna melt me / I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce.” Ed Kelce took to Facebook to express his discontent, sharing a Daily Mail article about the track and commenting, “Mental illness on full display.”

Kelce’s criticism is part of a broader controversy surrounding Kanye West and his recent projects. West has alleged that his albums *Vultures* and *Vultures 2*, released independently through his YZY imprint, are being unfairly targeted by Atlantic Records. The rapper claimed that Atlantic is demanding compensation for Ty Dolla $ign’s contributions, threatening to remove the albums from streaming services if their demands are not met.

Screenshots shared by West show a message from his manager, John Monopoly, discussing Atlantic’s demands. The message notes that 40% of the revenue from the albums should be paid to Atlantic, which has raised concerns about the treatment of independent artists.

In response to these developments, West has publicly questioned the new head of Atlantic Records, Elliot Grainge, following recent leadership changes at the label.

As the dispute continues, Kanye West and his music face both legal and public scrutiny, with the situation adding to the ongoing drama in the entertainment industry.
