Drake has unexpectedly unveiled a preview of an unreleased collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, sparking renewed interest in their fraught relationship. The teaser was part of his latest content drop from the "100 Gigs" series, offering a glimpse into a beat that the Toronto rapper described as “crazy.”

In the studio footage, Drake, accompanied by his longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib, listens to a bouncy instrumental. After the beat plays, Drake hyped up his guest feature, stating, “For him, where he’s at, I know he’s gonna murder that shit.” Shebib then confirmed the guest was indeed Kendrick Lamar, expressing, “When he told me Kendrick, it just made so much sense. Oh, the brilliance! So good.”

The beat featured in the clip was later repurposed by Action Bronson for his 2015 track “Actin’ Crazy,” produced by 40 and Dreamville’s Omen. The footage likely dates back to 2012 or 2013, coinciding with the era of Drake's *Nothing Was the Same*.

This preview comes amidst a backdrop of tension between the two artists, dating back to late 2013 when Lamar notably called out Drake in his verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” and seemingly targeted him again in a BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. Despite their past collaborations on tracks like “Buried Alive Interlude” and “Poetic Justice,” their relationship soured after these events.

It remains unclear if Lamar ever recorded vocals for the beat. The recent "100 Gigs" content also features vintage clips involving Kanye West and The Weeknd, reflecting Drake’s ongoing contemplation of his past rivalries.

As fans await further developments, this preview of the Drake and Kendrick collaboration adds another layer to their complex dynamic, highlighting the ever-evolving nature of their artistic rivalry.
