Dr. Dre, known for his meticulous approach in the studio, recently opened up about his reputation as a “perfectionist.” In an interview with Complex, alongside Snoop Dogg, Dre revealed that his pursuit of perfection is more about getting things right rather than achieving flawlessness. He admitted that striving for perfection is a way to buy time rather than waste it.

Dre and Snoop discussed their upcoming album, Missionary, and their new alcohol brand, Gin & Juice. Dre emphasized that the album’s tracklist must be unanimously approved by him, Snoop, and Jimmy Iovine. Snoop added that it has to be a 3-0 decision for it to be considered perfect.

Dre expressed confidence that Missionary will showcase a new level of maturity in both his music and Snoop’s lyrics. He also hinted at collaborations with rock legend Sting and other notable artists. The album is expected to release in November, coinciding with the 31st anniversary of their first collaboration, Doggystyle.
