DJ Quik is considering a lawsuit against Instagram and other social media platforms, claiming they have violated his First Amendment rights. The veteran rapper made this announcement after receiving an infraction on Instagram for his comments.

On August 16, Quik took to Instagram to announce his intentions: "I think the time has come for me to file a class action lawsuit against this and other social media platforms for violating my first amendment rights," he stated in a post. He concluded his message with a directive to close his account. However, just hours later, he seemed to reconsider his position, writing on his story that his lawyer advised him the effort might be futile.

In other news, Quik recently shared his emotional response to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Pop Out’ concert held on Juneteenth in Los Angeles. The rapper expressed his disappointment over missing the event due to a prior commitment while on tour with Snoop Dogg. Despite Snoop’s attempts to arrange a flight back to LA, logistical issues prevented them from attending. Quik recounted feeling a mix of anger and sadness as he watched the concert from afar, describing his experience of crying himself to sleep that night.
