Chief Keef has retracted his apparent endorsement of Donald Trump, attributing it to a social media hack despite his previous expressions of support for the former president.

On July 30, the Chicago rapper posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) that read "Trump 2024," accompanied by a photo of himself at a Trump lectern. The post quickly sparked controversy, leading many to question Keef's political stance.

However, Keef later addressed the situation on his Instagram Stories, asserting, "Twitter is hacked: Management." This denial came as a surprise to many, given his prior interactions with Trump-related content. In 2023, Keef had posted an edited image of Trump as a member of the Gangster Disciples, humorously suggesting that Trump would be well-regarded in prison.

The rapper's denial contrasts with the stance of other hip-hop figures, such as Swae Lee, who has publicly supported Trump and criticized Kamala Harris. Lee has argued against Harris's policies and praised Trump's contributions to Black communities and HBCUs.

As Chief Keef distances himself from the Trump endorsement, the debate over hip-hop's role in political discourse continues, highlighting the influence and complexities of celebrity e ndorsements in contemporary politics.
