In a CNN report released Friday, insiders revealed mounting dissatisfaction with Bezos's management style, exacerbated by his appointment of Will Lewis, a controversial figure with a history of ethical concerns, as a top editor. This decision has sparked outrage among Pulitzer-winning journalists and other staff members. Click on that photo

The latest blow came with the withdrawal of Robert Winnett, deputy editor at the UK Telegraph, from consideration for a pivotal editor role at The Washington Post. Winnett's decision follows scrutiny over his ties to Lewis and allegations regarding past journalistic conduct, including involvement in the "Partygate" scandal and accusations of unethical information gathering.

Bezos attempted to quell unrest with a memo asserting his commitment to the newspaper's values. However, many within the newsroom insist that meaningful action, such as dismissing Lewis, is necessary to restore integrity and staff confidence.

The appointment of Lewis, formerly associated with ethical controversies during his tenure at News International, has triggered widespread concern. His alleged advice to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson during the "Partygate" scandal and past use of fraudulently obtained information have further fueled discontent among Washington Post journalists.

Staffers have openly criticized Bezos's handling of the situation, demanding decisive measures to uphold journalistic standards and restore trust within the renowned publication
