In a startling turn of events at the 84th Sisters Rodeo in Oregon, a rodeo bull named Party Bus became the center of attention when it broke free from the arena, causing chaos and injuries among the spectators.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening, just before the close of the day’s events. Party Bus, the bull known for its vibrant energy, leaped over the fence and into the crowd. A video captured the harrowing moments as Party Bus charged at a woman in red, flipping her into the air before she landed under the bull’s feet. The crowd, caught off guard while enjoying the rodeo, was sent into a frenzy as the bull continued its rampage through the concession area and into the parking lot.

The Sisters Rodeo Association confirmed that three individuals were injured due to the bull’s escape, with two requiring hospitalization. Fortunately, all were released the following day without life-threatening injuries. A deputy responding to the incident also sustained minor injuries, although it remains unclear if they were directly caused by Party Bus.

The bull’s escape was brief, as rodeo pickup men managed to capture Party Bus near the livestock holding pens. Despite the swift action taken by the rodeo staff, the event raised questions about the safety measures in place at such public gatherings.

Leslie Lange, who provides livestock for the rodeo, including Party Bus, expressed that while the scenario was unexpected and not something that could be replicated, measures would be taken to ensure the bull’s behavior is managed in the future. “We’re going to take him home, buck him again, and do some training with him,” Lange stated to KTVZ.

The Sisters Rodeo, a beloved event attracting top cowboys and thousands of spectators, was overshadowed by this unforeseen incident. As the community reflects on the events of that night, the focus turns to enhancing safety protocols to prevent such occurrences in the future. Party Bus, meanwhile, has been removed from the arena as the rodeo community works to address the concerns brought forth by his escape.
