Nigerian Singer Young Jonn to Visit Kenya Following Success of Star-Studded Album

Rising Nigerian music sensation Young Jonn, known offstage as John Saviours Udomboso, has announced plans to tour Kenya following the success of his latest album, "Jiggy Forever." The artist revealed his excitement about the upcoming visit in an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, highlighting the significant impact his music has had in East Africa.



Young Jonn, who has gained popularity with hits like "Aquafina" and "Go Hard," emphasized the importance of connecting with his fanbase in Kenya. “Kenya has proven to be a significant market for my music, and it’s about time I met my fans. I will also visit other countries in the region to encourage collaborations between their top talents and Afrobeat stars,” he said.


The 29-year-old artist's album "Jiggy Forever" boasts 16 tracks featuring a diverse lineup of international artists. Collaborations include "Hold On" with Sean Paul, "50 Million" featuring Nigerian star Zlatan, and "Fill My Tank" with renowned producer Don Jazzy

. Additionally, French-based Congolese artist Ya Levis joins Young Jonn on "Maya Maya," a song that captures the essence of a youthful, whirlwind romance. Another standout track is "Big Big Things," featuring Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibes.


Reflecting on the personal significance of the album, Young Jonn noted, “This album is special to me. I feel like most people don’t know who I am. They just have an idea. But this project uncovers the real me. Each track is like a snapshot of life's roller coaster, touching on love, hustle, and finding my way in a world that sometimes feels upside down


Young Jonn's journey in music began in Ibadan before moving to Lagos in 2012, where he established himself as a notable producer. His career took a significant turn in 2021 when he signed with Chocolate City, transitioning from a behind-the-scenes role to a performing artist.


The Kenyan tour, planned for the latter half of this year, is set to be a major milestone in Young Jonn's career as he aims to deepen his connection with East African audiences and foster new musical collaborations in the region.
