Reflecting on the album, Elliott described it as her "most stressful," attributing much of the pressure to the infamous "sophomore jinx." "That album was successful for me, that first album, so I was trying to find something that was going to be bigger," she explained. "We were in a different kind of pocket that was amazing to blend the two because it was Hip Hop but it still had the theatrics to it."

Elliott highlighted the album's blend of theatrics and Hip Hop, noting the significant use of dramatic strings in its production. "Everything was very dramatic," she recalled. "Years later, I look back on that and that was probably one of the most creative [periods]."

Earlier this year, Elliott delighted fans by revisiting her iconic outfits from music videos in a nostalgic Instagram post. The post included throwbacks to visuals from "The Rain" (1997), "Hot Boyz" (1999), "Sock it To Me" (1997), "Beep Me 911" (1998), and "Gossip Folks" (2002), showcasing her enduring influence on fashion and music.

As fans anticipate the anniversary of *Da Real World*, Elliott's candid reflections offer a deeper appreciation for the challenges and creativity that shaped one of her most celebrated works.
