Icewear Vezzo has extended a public apology to Amanda Seales following a heated exchange on social media where he referred to her as a "weirdo" and a "lying little girl." The Detroit rapper's remarks came in response to Seales' criticism of a photo he shared with Donald Trump, alongside fellow rapper Peezy.

The controversy erupted when Seales, an actress and activist known for her outspoken views, expressed disappointment over public figures associating with individuals who have a contentious history with marginalized communities. In an Instagram post, she criticized those who cozy up to figures like Trump, cautioning against the narrative of being the "good Black" while overlooking the harm caused by such associations.

In response, Icewear Vezzo took to his Instagram Story to launch a counterattack against Seales, questioning her contributions to the community and accusing her of hypocrisy. However, he swiftly deleted the post and replaced it with a statement acknowledging his error.

"I talked to Amanda. It’s all love," Vezzo clarified in a subsequent Instagram comment. "She’s a woman. I should’ve never went that hard on her no matter what she did. It’s not that serious. She’s entitled to her opinions, even tho there was an assumption made about me based off a picture with zero audio."

He continued, emphasizing the importance of constructive dialogue and mutual respect. "I just want us to stop thinking the worse about each other before having a conversation and also learn to respectfully disagree," Vezzo wrote. "We are all one and we can teach one another and instead [of] tearing each other down because we disagree on something. I love all women. I have a daughter; that wasn’t cool. End of story. It’s all love."

The reconciliation between Icewear Vezzo and Amanda Seales was further underscored by a video shared by Vezzo, showing the two embracing and expressing mutual respect.

"This is a real queen. This is a real Black woman," Vezzo affirmed in the video, with Seales adding her appreciation for Vezzo's efforts towards positive change.

The incident highlights the complexities of navigating public personas and social issues in today's cultural landscape, where opinions often clash but opportunities for understanding and reconciliation remain paramount.
