In a tragic turn of events in the Ololulunga area of Narok South Sub County, a dispute over a two-kilogram packet of maize has resulted in the death of a neighbor. Authorities are currently detaining a 33-year-old man, identified as Hillary, in connection with the fatal stabbing of his friend and neighbor, Nelson Langat.



According to Narok County police commander Riko Ngare, the altercation escalated into violence after Langat and Hillary quarreled over the maize packet at their shared residence. The dispute, seemingly trivial, took a deadly turn when Hillary allegedly stabbed Langat multiple times.

Following the altercation, Langat was rushed to Ololulunga sub-county hospital with severe stab wounds to his neck, chest, and back. Despite efforts to save his life, Langat succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
