Kimang'aru Village, Manyatta Constituency, Embu County – June 1, 2024**: A family in the quiet village of Kimang'aru, Manyatta constituency, is embroiled in a chilling mystery following the burial of their 18-year-old relative. The family of Jospaht Muriithi has reported a series of eerie occurrences since the girl's funeral, prompting them to seek an exhumation to confirm the identity of the buried body.

The young girl, who passed away in Febru ary while living with a guardian, was buried in March. However, the family has since experienced a string of bizarre and unsettling events. The incidents began the day after the burial, with the sudden death of two chickens bearing stab wounds on their legs. The following week, four more chickens were found strangled. Most recently, all the family's livestock were discovered with mysterious cut marks.

Muriithi's wife recounted the distressing condition of the body when it was brought home for burial. "When we collected her body, it wasn't in proper condition, and everyone who viewed it collapsed," she said. The body was dressed in a veil reminiscent of a wedding dress, which was explained as a customary practice of their church.

Despite numerous interventions, including prayers, the family believes that exhuming the body is the only way to put an end to the haunting and confirm if the person they buried was indeed their kin, Mukami. "Please help us to remove this body from here because we don't know if it is Mukami we buried or not," they pleaded.

The family has called on the government to investigate the circumstances surrounding the teenager's death and the subsequent strange events. They are desperate for answers and peace, fearing that they may have buried a stranger by mistake.

This unsettling case has garnered significant attention, reflecting the family's anguish and the community's curiosity. The request for exhumation is seen as a crucial step in uncovering the truth and addressing the family's plight.
