Former Inooro TV news anchor Winrose Wangui has opened up about the abrupt end to her marriage, which concluded just two months after a grand church wedding. Speaking to Kameme FM, Wangui shared the challenges that plagued her union, primarily citing a lack of respect and constant infighting as the main issues.
Wangui, a decorated media personality, recalled the initial joy of their wedding day, which quickly gave way to persistent conflicts. “Our issues were mainly a lack of respect for one another and talking to each other rudely,” she explained. Despite the couple's young age of 26, Wangui believes that with maturity, they might have been able to resolve their differences.
The breaking point in their relationship came during a heated argument when Wangui's then-husband told her to leave their home. She complied immediately, packing her bags and driving away. Reflecting on the incident, she said, “I packed my bags, put them in my car and left. But the problem was that we were young. Just 26 years old people who could not solve issues.”
To Wangui’s surprise, her ex-husband remarried just three months after their separation and has since started another family.
Wangui has previously spoken about personal hardships, including a tough pregnancy, during which she received support from the late Lizzie Wanyoike, a prominent businesswoman. Wangui recently joined others in mourning Wanyoike's passing, expressing her gratitude for the support she received during a difficult time in her life.
