A 33-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, on Friday night.
Lenny Scott, from Prescot in Merseyside, was shot on Peel Road, near the junction with Glebe Road, at around 7.35 p.m.
Mr Scott was found with 'serious gunshot wounds' and was taken to hospital, where he later died.
According to police officers, the gunman fled the scene on a bike, believed to be either an e-bike or a scrambler bike.

They are also trying to establish the motive for the attack and whether it was targeted or random.
Detective Chief Inspector Pauline Stables, of Lancashire Police, said: "This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a young man and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
"We are in the very early stages of our investigation and we are working to establish exactly what has happened and why.
"We believe the offender made off from the scene on a bike and we would urge anyone who saw him, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to contact us as soon as possible.
"We would also ask anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage from Peel Road or the surrounding streets to get in touch."
