The Atlanta rapper was seen in the rival’s neighborhood as the tension between the two female MCs escalates.

THE BRONX, NY - Latto has stirred up some controversy by shooting a video on Ice Spice’s turf in The Bronx as the two are rumored to be beefing. While the two have not yet hit Nicki Minaj–Megan Thee Stallion levels of feuding, subliminal shots across social media and on songs have been exchanged.

Latto was spotted filming for an upcoming music video in The Bronx with a large security team. Many of Ice Spice’s fans commented on the move, calling it “corny” and “petty”. Some speculated that Latto was trying to provoke Ice Spice by being in her neighborhood.

The beef between the two rappers allegedly started last year when Latto seemed unaware of Ice Spice’s “Bikini Bottom” hook during a red carpet interview, despite having previously expressed support on Instagram. Ice Spice, who is a staunch Nicki Minaj supporter, took offense and released a diss track called "Think U The Shit (Fart)"12, which referenced Latto’s hit “Put it on Da Floor”.

On the track, Ice Spice rapped: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.”

During a Twitter Spaces appearance on Friday (February 2), Ice Spice confirmed that the song was aimed at Latto and explained the reason.

“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak-ass snippet,” she said. “So I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me,’ and I dropped that.”

She added, "I was like, ‘This has to be fake — this is AI,’ but bitches be bold, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’re being bold today.’"3

Some fans also believe that the beef stems from copycat accusations levied against Latto after she was seen striking a pose similar to Ice Spice’s signature bent-over move. Latto denied the claims on Twitter last year, saying, “Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less. I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak ass narratives.”

Whether the beef is real or not, both rappers have been making waves in the music industry. Latto recently collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on a new song called “Dinero” and performed with her on Saturday Night Live. Ice Spice, on the other hand, has been praised by Nicki Minaj as “the People’s Princess” and has teamed up with her on two songs, “Much” and “Barbie Dreams Remix”.

The full details of Latto’s video shoot in The Bronx are yet to be revealed, but it is clear that the feud with Ice Spice is far from over. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the drama unfolds and if the two rappers will ever squash their beef or escalate it further.
