Jack Tweed, the widower of reality TV star Jade Goody, has issued a chilling warning to her son Bobby Brazier ahead of his participation in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Tweed, who married Goody in 2009 shortly before her death from cervical cancer, told The Sun that he fears Bobby will face the same backlash and humiliation that his mother endured during her controversial stint on the show in 2007.

Goody, who rose to fame as a contestant on Big Brother in 2002, was accused of racism and bullying towards Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty during the celebrity edition of the show. She faced widespread criticism and public outrage, and was evicted from the house to a chorus of boos.

Tweed said that he still suffers from the trauma of watching Goody’s downfall, and urged Bobby to reconsider his decision to enter the house.

He said: “I don’t want Bobby to go through what his mum went through. It was soul destroying. She was broken by that show. She never recovered from it.”

He added: “Bobby is a lovely kid, but he’s too young and naive to deal with the pressure and the scrutiny. He doesn’t need to do this. He should focus on his modelling career and stay away from the cameras.”

Bobby, 19, is the eldest son of Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier. He has followed in his mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the spotlight, and has signed up for the 24th series of Celebrity Big Brother, which is set to air on Channel 5 in March.

He will be joined by other famous faces such as singer Kerry Katona, comedian Russell Kane, footballer Paul Gascoigne, and drag queen Courtney Act.

A source close to Bobby told The Sun that he is excited about the opportunity and wants to honour his mother’s legacy.

They said: “Bobby is proud of his mum and wants to show the world who he is. He’s not afraid of the challenge and thinks it will be a great experience. He’s confident and charismatic, and he’s ready to shine.”

Celebrity Big Brother is expected to return to screens on March 5, with Emma Willis as the host and Rylan Clark-Neal as the presenter of the spin-off show Bit on the Side.
