President William Ruto has urged the Opposition to stop opposing his development agenda and instead propose alternative solutions to the country’s challenges.

The President was speaking on Sunday at an interdenominational prayer service in Busia, where he defended his flagship projects such as the affordable housing plan, the digital jobs initiative, and the universal health coverage scheme.

He accused the Opposition of being out of touch with the needs of the people and resorting to organising demonstrations that would only disrupt peace and stability.

“They told me not to do the housing plan, digital jobs and others. I asked them their plan and they said they are organising demonstrations. Will demos create employment?” he posed.

He said his administration was focused on delivering on its promises to the Kenyan people and improving their living standards.

He also called for unity and cooperation among all leaders, regardless of their political affiliations, to work together for the common good of the nation.

He said he was ready to engage with anyone who had constructive ideas on how to move the country forward.

“I am not interested in politics of division and hatred. I am interested in politics of development and transformation. Let us join hands and build a better Kenya for ourselves and our children,” he said.
