Ben Affleck is known for his love of Dunkin donuts, but he is also good at poking fun at himself. The 51-year-old actor was spotted dropping several boxes of donuts and cups of coffee while filming a new ad for the popular chain.

The scene was a deliberate recreation of a viral moment from late December 2020, when Affleck was caught by paparazzi spilling the Dunkin boxes outside of his Los Angeles home. The photos quickly became a meme on social media, with many fans relating to the actor's struggle.

Affleck, who is originally from Boston, was wearing a similar shirt he was wearing in the original incident. However, for the ad he swapped his grey 'Believe in Boston' t-shirt for a Boston Red Sox t-shirt that read, 'Best Dad Ever.'

The ad, which is expected to air in early 2024, is part of Dunkin's new campaign to celebrate its loyal customers and their everyday moments. Affleck, who has been a fan of the brand since his childhood, said he was happy to participate in the ad and have some fun with his donut mishap.

"I love Dunkin donuts, and I don't mind laughing at myself once in a while," Affleck said in a statement. "I hope the ad will make people smile and enjoy their Dunkin even more."
