The American rapper Cardi B has shut down the rumours that she and her ex-husband Offset have reconciled after they celebrated Christmas as a family.
The estranged couple, who share a three-year-old daughter named Kulture, sparked speculation that they were back together when they posted videos of themselves on a holiday trip to the Dominican Republic.
However, Cardi B took to Twitter on Thursday to clarify that they are not romantically involved and that they only spent time together for the sake of their child.
"No, it’s not true that me and Offset are back together. We just went on a family trip for Kulture. We’re not together. That’s my baby daddy, yo," she tweeted.
Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. She later revealed that she decided to end their three-year marriage because she was tired of arguing and not seeing eye to eye with him.
The two rappers have had a tumultuous relationship since they secretly tied the knot in 2017. They briefly split in 2018 after Offset was accused of cheating on Cardi B, but they reconciled after he publicly apologized and begged for her forgiveness.
Cardi B has previously stated that she and Offset are still friends and co-parents, and that they have no hard feelings towards each other.
She also said that she is not looking for a new relationship anytime soon, and that she is focusing on her career and her daughter.
