Lucy's lifeless body was discovered in her Jogoo area residence, amidst a pool of blood, on November 9th. The suspect was apprehended by the police, who intervened just in time to prevent him from being harmed by an angry mob. According to the family of the victim, the man's motive stemmed from frustration over their kinship, as he was unable to marry Lucy due to their familial relationship. Adding to the tragedy, the police reportedly discovered the weapon used in the crime within the confines of her home. The suspected assailant had traveled all the way from his Kuria home with the sole purpose of carrying out this horrific act. Fortunately, the police intervened swiftly, rescuing him from the clutches of an enraged mob who had cornered him in a house in the area.
