In a distressing turn of events, businesswoman Ann Njeri Njoroge found herself blindfolded and taken to a residence deep within the Karura forest after leaving the DCI headquarters. Ann's attorney, Cliff Ombeta, revealed that she was subjected to intense coercion, with her captors threatening her life if she refused to relinquish the oil and withdraw her case from the Mombasa High Court. Attorney Cliff Ombeta has firmly stated that the lawsuit filed by businesswoman Ann Njeri Njoroge will not be withdrawn in court. Ombeta expressed his dismay regarding the conduct of the police, likening it to that of thieves, as they allegedly attempted to negotiate a portion of the Sh17 billion worth of diesel. According to Ombeta, the fuel Ann had brought was intended to be sold at a more affordable rate compared to the government fuel. He expressed his disappointment at the situation, emphasizing that the circumstances were regrettable. Despite the adversity faced, Ann remains resolute in seeking justice and upholding her case, determined to shed light on the unfair practices surrounding the diesel industry.
